The Digital Collection: The King Library Digital Collection currently includes a representative selection of the 6,000 photographic prints in the collection, and new images are added to the collection periodically. The Physical Collection: The bulk of the Ted Sahl Collection documents Sahl's photographic work with the gay and lesbian community in San Jose and the Bay Area from 1976-2010. In addition to photographs, the collection includes background research and working drafts of Sahl's book From Closet to Community: A Quest for Gay and Lesbian Liberation in San Jose & Santa Clara County (2002), personal papers, published and unpublished essays, and materials related to the San Jose Gay Pride Committee.
